We are currently looking for candidates for the position of:

Head of Group Controlling & Procurement

Mission Statement

Head of Group Controlling & Procurement manages the Controlling function to help senior management steer the performance of the business. Furthermore they optimise major indirect spend through the Procurement function.

Your responsibilities:

The Head of Group Controlling & Procurement is responsible for:
• Lead the Group Controlling processes and team, budgeting, forecast, efficiency
o Work with CFO, Finance teams and Group and Country Management to formulate and to implement short-term and long-term financial and strategic plan that would lead to improved business performance. They act as Finance business partner with an active role in decision-making processes in order to steer and secure financial results achievements.
o Leads the Group Controlling team and provides authoritative guidance to Country Finance teams with regards to planning, forecasting and management reporting processes
o Analyse financial and operational results to understand business performance and to advise management on improvement actions, both on a recurring and ad-hoc basis
o Lead and/or contribute to transformational project across the Finance function and the entire business
o Prepare business cases for strategic decisions
o Identify margin improvement opportunities Develop and maintain an accurate activity based costing system in cooperation with plant controllers
o Forward looking forecasts and identification of issues that can cause underperformance
o Development in collaboration with key business partners of clear action plans to achieve expected performance and/or take advantage of business opportunities and provide support in achieving those results and opportunities
• Leading and improving Industrial Operations Controlling
o Sites Controlling, budgeting, forecast, efficiency
o Cost improvement processes and opportunities
o Cooperate on business development studies according to needs: estimation of current Industrial
o Product Costs (CRI), simulation of restructuring costs, synergies
o Financial validation of Investment
• Lead the Procurement team and processes
o Create, manage and deliver company's indirect procurement strategy
o Identifying and realizing cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities
o Managing and setting Procurement processes within the Group

We require:

• University Master Degree in Economics or Finance, Accounting qualification is a plus
• Min. 15 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis in international environment, significant analytical skillset, pharma experience preferred
• Full understanding of financial concepts and Controlling including experience in Revenues and Expense controlling
• Experience with Procurement
• Strong Leadership Qualities, People motivation, Change management
• Strong presentation skills - you are able to explain financial impact/consequences to management as well as line and service area
• Partner management - Negotiate, dare to take constructive conflicts, accurate communication
• Ability to work under pressure and solve complex problems, timely and precisely
• Strong business acumen
• The ability to work and collaborate in complex organizations and Matrix environment
• Ability to reprioritize and work in a fast pace environment
• Experience with SAP (FI, CO, BW modules), MS Excel advanced user,
• Flexibility to travel internationally
• Excellent English level (use on daily basis)
