IT Application Expert and Project Manager

Your responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee and manage operations and maintenance of owned application portfolio
  • Monitor and ensure service delivery and operations within defined Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Adapt the application portfolio to evolving IT standards and technology evolutions
  • Continuously improve the performances to provide the right services with the right quality at right costs – help to define and execute appropriate action plan
  • Provide specialized system knowledge and actively contribute to resolution of incidents with company Service Desk and 3rd party providers
  • Take responsibility for the technical resolution of incidents, reacting quickly to limit impacts and resolve the issue
  • Liaise with internal IT teams and external providers on bug fixes and solution enhancements
  • Prioritize individual incidents and ensure resolution in line with SLAs and quality standards
  • Define and document operating procedures, new functionality and scope of development or customizing
  • Deliver documentation to agreed standards, on time and error free
  • Customer Relationship:
  • Maintain relationship and regular communication with the respective business application owners
  • Propose functional and technical expertise to solution design and troubleshooting, ensuring the user needs are understood, proposing business process improvements or evolutions, participating to functional specifications and workload evaluations
  • Cross-training and presentations for colleagues and business key users
  • Delivering user guides and support documentation to business key users
  • Project Management:
  • Apply and follow Company IT project management methodology
  • Contribute on definition of project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Identify the expertise and skills required for the project
  • Facilitate and orchestrate end-to-end project development while setting and continually managing project expectations with the project team, vendors involved in the project and other stakeholders
  • In cooperation with other IT colleagues and suppliers, implements, tests and accepts provided solution / improvement
  • Track project timelines, milestones, budget and deliverables
  • Ensure project compliance with legal, regulatory requirements and with internal recommendations and standards (quality, security, architecture, etc.)
  • Work in and contributes with other project teams providing technical and some business support for the respective domain of expertise and owned application portfolio

We require:

  • Practical experience with technologies and applications within assigned portfolio
  • Experience with programming and/or database languages
  • Good knowledge of technologies and overview of business processes used in specific domain
  • Experience dealing with users and/or clients from both a business and technical perspective
  • Experience how to work in a Project and Support role
  • Ability to come up with innovative solutions in defined area
  • Good written and verbal communication ability to listen and cooperate with other people
  • Good organizational skills and time management including the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment
  • Ability to investigate and analyze problems and propose solutions / improvements
  • A practical, methodical and structured approach to work
  • English language (spoken / written) on at least upper-intermediate level (B2)
